All biomass will be sourced from local woodlots that are managed according to ecological forestry guidelines and sustainability (e.g. FSC, SFI) certified. Biomass will not be sourced from clear cutting. This project, by serving as a market for low-grade wood fibre, can drive positive change on private timberlands by requiring wood fibre to be sourced from ecological and/or restorative forest operations. Tracking and traceability, along with monitoring of the biomass supply area will be implemented to ensure transparency and positive environmental outcomes,
